Creative Therapy and Art
Our creative therapy and art programs are designed to help ethnic refugees and migrant families overcome the stresses of settling into a new life in New Zealand.
Our programs use music and art to bring together different ethnic communities, as well as the wider community, and provide support and assistance with overcoming barriers and connecting with others.
As a group we learn to play a music rhythm or work on an artistic creation. Each member of the group will start with basic rhythms and as they become more confident they move onto more complex and advanced levels of music and arts as a group.
Our creative therapy and art workshops assist families and individuals with emotional expression and healing through non-verbal means. We work collaboratively with Diversity Counselling New Zealand to provide these programs.
